"Greetings,
First, allow me to thank all of you for your unending support and passion for our music and message. It is now a staple within any meeting that I have with someone in the record biz for them to comment on how amazingly passionate our fans and supporters really are. I always smile and say, "Yes, I know."
Second, some of you may have read about the recent collapse within Capitol Records and its parent company EMI. Both are now reorganizing and placed everything on hold. Most everyone I have known at Capitol Records is gone - sacked, fired, handed their papers, given the boot, etc. They have now merged Virgin Records and Capitol Records under one regime called The Capitol Records Music Group. It sounds very exciting to us - but things are still up in the air.
Now to the big question: Will this affect the release of our 3rd album? Most definitely. We are bracing for the call when they tell us the release date has been moved back. No official word has come but we assume it will. As soon as we know more - we will update you.
This sucks, we know. But this is the Music "Industry" -- art versus commerce -- its where mentality and reality collide. This band and I are no strangers to obstacles and we shall persevere as we always do. Our album is amazing, our fans are amazing, and nothing that happens can change that.
