Die Theatron Agrippa DTS 7.1 verwendet offenbar ein C-Media CMI8770 Chip, dieser läuft prinzipiell unter Linux. Die Theatron Agrippa DTS wird auch von Alsa (http://www.alsa-project.org/main/index.php/Matrix:Vendor-Club3D) unterstützt, dein Problem ist also nicht die Hardware sondern die Konfiguration.

Was gibt erhälst du bei den Befehl "lsmod | grep snd" und "lspci | grep audio" (anstatt audio bitte auch Audio, sound und Sound probieren) als Ausgabe? Was steht in der "/etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf" (oder ähnliche Konfiguration in /etc/modprobe.d)? Ist eine "/etc/asound.conf" vorhanden, wenn ja, was ist der Inhalt?

Verwendet die Mint Installation überhaupt Alsa oder setzt sie auf Pulse Audio?

Die Befehle nacheinander im "Terminal" eingeben (du kannst kopieren und einfügen) und dann die Ausgabe hier reinstellen (am besten mit [ CODE ] Blöcken, damit es besser lesbar ist).

Bei den genannten Dateien (in Linux fängt ein Pfad mit / wie z.B. bei /etc/... an) sollst du schauen ob sie vorhanden sind, wenn ja, was drin steht (ebenfalls mit den CODE-Blöcken hier einfügen). Solch eine Datei kannst du ganz einfach mit "gedit dateipfad" (über das Terminal also "gedit /etc/asound.conf") anschauen.

Ob du Alsa oder Pulse Audio (oder beides) installiert hast, kannst du einfach kontrollieren, indem du das im Package Manager (Anwendung, Synaptic Package Manager sollte es heißen) kontrollierst.

Bei "keine Berechtigung" setze die Anweisung sudo vor den Befehl also z.B. "sudo gedit /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf". Ist die Datei leer, existiert sie nicht, sollte das passieren, mache ein "sudo list -l /etc/modprobe.d/". (Längere) Ausgaben bitte in [ CODE ] [ / CODE ] Blöcke setzen, dass macht es besser lesbar. Da dir lspci offenbar nichts ausgibt, poste mal die Ausgabe von "lspci -v".

Im Package Manager nachgesehen ob "alsa" oder "pulse" installiert ist?

Du hast zwei Soundkarten, eines ist ein CMedia Chipsatz, zwar nicht der erwartete aber ein CMI8768 weswegen ich vermute es handelt sich um deine Soundkarte. Der Chipsatz wird von Linux unterstützt, der verwendete Kerneltreiber ist snd_cmipci. Dieser Treiber wird auch geladen, das ist gut. Es ist noch wichtig zu wissen, was im Ordner /etc/modprobe.d/ für Dateien sind und was in denen steht.

Das du Alsa und Pulse Audio jetzt installiert hast, sorgt für die Suche der Nadel im Heuhaufen. Da ich die Default Konfiguration nicht kenne und du womöglich die Konfiguration deutlich erschwert hast, werde ich dir auf die schnelle nicht weiterhelfen können. Ich würde dir empfehlen ein extra Thread bzgl. deines Problems aufzumachen - evtl. direkt im Linux Mint Forum (http://forums.linuxmint.com/) bzw. in einer deutschen Linux Mint Community (http://www.linuxmintusers.de/index.php?PHPSESSID=f9807b3bfbeae91691521542ff68bf00&action=forum). Die bereits gesammelten Daten (OS, Soundkarte, angaben über lspci und lsmod) kannst du dort gleich mit posten.

Natürlich geht das. Schau mal ob du bei Mint, welches Cinnamon verwendet, die Gnome 3 (http://wiki.ubuntuusers.de/Barrierefreiheit) Barrierefreiheitstools hast. Ich würde dir aber empfehlen in Anwendungen wie Browser reinzuzoomen und ansonsten die Schriftgröße (http://forums.linuxmint.com/viewtopic.php?f=64&t=100176) zu erhöhen.

ich hab bei meinem htpc für die verwendete DE (in meinem fall gnome 3) die DPI erhöht. d.h. ich habe dem system gesagt, es wären mehr dots per inch, was dazu führt, dass er alles größer malt. wäre das nicht besser als ne lupe?

ausserdem kann man noch die schriftartengröße zusätzlich anpassen, wenn man möchte.
