I recently built my own PC. After setting everything up, my PC kept restarting. The event log shows: Kernel Power 41 and that it's a critical hardware error. I've updated my BIOS and reinstalled Windows, but it's still happening. It doesn't just crash when I'm doing a lot of things; sometimes it resets itself while I'm not doing anything. My PC build is as follows:
Mobo: Gigabyte B550m gaming X wifi6
GPU: Ghost geforce rtx 5060ti
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600
RAM: G.Skill ripjaws 16gb
SSD: Biwin M350 PCIe. 4
PSU: 650 Watt Seasonic G12 GC Non-modular
Can anyone please help me with this problem?

Hi,

Check in the UEFI to see if you can find something like c-state (global c-state control) under the advanced settings for the processor. Turn it off.

Hi, thx for the tip. I turned it off and it did work for some time without any restarts. Then I downloaded Valorant, which has this anticheat that works on kernel level and after installing it my PC rebooted again. I have now deinstalled it, but can anyone help me?

Sorry,

I don't have any games on my computers, so I can't help you directly.
It seems that it's well known that the anti-cheat software can cause the computer to crash.

Follow the instructions there.

Did the system actually reboot after switching off the C-state?
Before you installed the game?

"kernel power 41" means: unexpected restart without properly shutdown
it does not say anything about the cause. but possibly there are other error messages too.
to figure out why is your job.
heat, possibly faulty power supply.... that is, what a technician shoud do.
if you do it yourself, you shoud equipp yourself as professionally as possible.
the better your knowlege and of course experience, the better for the case.

gernerally one who is his own technician shoud have hardware for diagnose-change, this helps immensly.
alway good to have things as psu, ram, ssd

forum will work, but it depends on your compliance.

Hi, yes I turned C State off but it didnt help. Now I deinstalled Valorant but tried bluestacks which did cause the same kernel issue with resets so Im actually pretty lost here.
P:S: playing other games like fifa or even god of war and elden ring work without Problems.
