hey
im sorry im writing at english, i just dont speak german, so plz reply in english..
about that card, i heared alot of rumors that this card has an R360 core, well, a new shipment is coming to my country with this kind of cards, its kinda expansive here, this card costs 272 euro here inc 3 years warranty, i know its expansive, but if ill buy this card at europe, i wont have a warranty, so u can understand the situation...
anyway my question is, if ALL of this series are built with the R360 core, cuz the store manager wont open cards randomly and check if they are R360, cuz if its r350 i would prefer a cheaper card of that....
anywho, if you/your friend got this card with R350, so plz notify me ASAP, its really important, and i would like to hear about this card more from you guyz, do you recommand it? i can get the same card on 254 euro but it will have only 1 year warranty, so ill guess ill take the 3 years...
thanks alot guyz

Hi!

Your question is described here:

This means:
As ATI has stopped the production of 350 cores they are just producing 360 cores now. So you will surely find one on the MSI pro plus card. The problem is: They MAY reach XT clock rates, but it´s as likely succeeding as it isn´t. That´s because the 360 cores which fail the test for being used as XT-cores are sold on PRO cards. But in case of overproduction it´s likely to get an XT core which just has been underclocked to fit pro specifications.

It´s all about how luck is with you ;)

edit:
fixed some spelling errors...

damn i have no idea what to do..
im afraid ill get the one which cant reach to XT speeds, cuz thats the purpose i need the card for
2 friends of mine got this card, and they are getting 6000 in 3dmark03 as defult with no oc, after the oc they get 6300-6400

It surely will reach 400mhz core or more. Just never mind if it just reaches 408 ... It won´t make a difference.
A whole bunch of cards got well beyond the 412 Mhz XT clock rate. You can´t do more than giving it a try. Noone (except if the card was pre-tested) can guarantee you high overclocking rates. So where´s the choice? ;)
And if you´ve got the opportunity to watercool the card it surely will run far beyond 9800XT clock rate. :)

good morning

i think it's better when you're trying to get a card with an R350 core, for instance a normal MSI Radeon 9800 pro card. R350 core's may get higher to oc like R360 core's. my R350 core is running now at 500mhz stable :D cooled by an artic cooling vga-silencer. the only advantage is that you can control temperature with R360.

off topic: i think it's better when you can wait one or two months because in one or two month you can buy x800pro cards cheaper than today - and than you reach easily 11k (with oc) in 3dmark 03 :cool_alt:

i hope you can read it - english is not my best subject at school (3)

mmm the msi is cooled by a very good stock cooler

but i think thats just luck ..
here is the review
