Unregelmäßig abstürze bei Manjaro

Hallo zusammen,

ich habe seit einiger Zeit mit meinem Manjaro (Cinnamon) immer wieder Freezes die tlw. auch nur über ausschalten zu lösen sind. Es geht um das System in der Signatur ... ggf andere benötigte Informationen liefere ich auf nachfrage natürlich gerne

Also es gibt 2 Arten von Freezes die in Unregelmäßigen abständen (1. = etwa alle 15 Betriebstunden, 2. = etwa einmal pro Woche):

1. es bleibt nur die Oberfläche hängen, die Maus und ggf der abgespielte Ton laufen weiter. Nach 10-30 Sekunden fängt sich in diesem Fall das System wieder.
2. Bild bleibt komplett hängen (Ton hat sich bisher noch nie ergeben). Dieser Absturz ist nur über Neustart zu beheben ... Also 5sek Startschalter drücken.

Beide Freezes sind mir noch nie aufgefallen, während ich einfach nur ein Video oder musik gespielt habe. Immer nur wenn die Maus bewegt wurde passierten derartige Freezes.
Gibt es irgendwie eine Ereignisprotokollierung die mir helfen kann den Fehler einzugrenzen? Habt ihr irgend eine Idee, woran es liegen könnte? Welche Infos braucht ihr um mir helfen zu können?

journalctl in die Konsole eingeben. Das ist das Systemlog, da schaue ich immer als erstes rein wenn's Probleme gibt.
Kommen die freezes in zusammenhang mit einem Programm vor?

Überprüfen ob zu einer Kernel-Konsole / TTY gewechselt werden kann mit STRG+ALT+F1 bis F7.
Siehe Virtuelle Konsole
-> Dann hängt nur das Grafiksystem/Cinnamon/Xorg.
Auf der Konsole dann Kernel Log via dmesg und Anwendungslog journalctl ansehen.

Magic-Sysrequest aktivieren / prüfen ob diese funktionieren im Absturzfall.

Funktioniert oft auch bei schwereren Hängern auf dem Desktop/System.

SSH Server des Systems aktivieren/installieren und überprüfen ob sich beim Freeze eingeloggt werden kann.
Dann Logs überprüfen.

Wenn sich das System wieder fängt, dann ist das vermutlich irgendein Fehler, der nach einem Timeout das System neu lädt / eventuell die Grafikbeschleunigung ausschaltet oder neu initialisiert. Soetwas sollte im Anwendungs-Log oder Kernel-Log stehen.

was journalctl angeht ... das macht scheinbar nur direkt nach einem Absturz sinn, dann dort werden ja Einträge im Sekundentakt aufgelistet ...dort den entsprechenden zu finden entspricht der Nadel im Heuhaufen, wenn man nichtmehr konkret weis, wann es das letzte mal abgestürzt ist ... oder kann man nur fehlermeldungen ausgeben lassen? ich hab jetzt nur sinnvoll die neusten zuerst gesehen


Nein es geht nicht nur um ein Programm wobei es sich gefühlt bei MS Office (via Playonlinux) und Firefox häuft, allerdings sind das auch nicht zuletzt Programme die ich häufig benutze

Naja, Nadel im Heuhaufen? Das ganze Log ist voll mit Fehlern bezüglich ata11. Das Laufwerk an diesem Anschluss, oder eventuell der Anschluss an sich, produziert regelmäßig Fehler. Die möglichen Optionen wären jetzt:

• Kabel dieses Laufwerks tauschen
• Anderen Anschluss testen
• Smart-Werte prüfen
• Diagnoseprogramm des jeweiligen Herstellers zu Rate ziehen

Die Nadel im Heuhaufen war auf das Journalctl bezogen nicht auf das desmeg.

Zu der Festplatte: Da ich etwas schwierigkeiten hatte die Smartwerte auf Linux zu installieren habe ich mal kurz win10 und crystaldiskinfo bemüht

Ich hab dabei nix auffälliges gesehen, was ja eigentlich gegen einen Hardware Defekt spricht. Den Müsste doch Linux genauso wie Windows gleichermaßen anzeigen.

Bei der Festplatte handelt es sich außerdem um ein (im Windowsformat formatiertes) Tauschlaufwerk auf das sowohl mein Linux als auch mein Windows zugreifen. Dabei ist mir schon mehrfach aufgefallen, dass ich Windows nicht beenden darf sondern immer Neustarten muss um Probleme mit genau dieser HDD zu vermeiden. Immer wenn ich windows Heruntergefahren habe und danach Linux starte, sagt mein Linux mir, ich hätte nur Leseberechtigungen auf dem Laufwerk. Aushängen, Reparieren und alles läuft wieder wie es soll Oder eben nach Windowsbenutzung nicht herunterfahren sondern Neustarten und direkt wieder Linux laden.
Schätzungsweise ist Windows an dieser stelle einfach etwas Übergriffig bzw fährt nicht korrekt herunter. Wenn jemand weis, wie dieser Fehler zu beheben ist dann natürlich auch gerne ansonsten habe ich mich ehrlich gesagt daran gewöhnt und starte Windows eben immer neu

Kann es sein, dass diese Fehler das Log vollgespammt haben, und das nix mit der eigentlichen Sache zu tun hat?
Soll ich dennoch das Kabel/Anschluss Tauschen? Das ist bei meinem Gehäuse und der Verbauten Custom Loop mehr als nur 10min Aufwand den ich mir gerne Sparen würde wenn er nix mit den Freezes zu tun hat.

DATA SET MANAGEMENT ist für TRIM also für eine SSD gedacht. Siehe Trim@wikipedia
Der Win10 Screenshot zeigt somit die falsche HDD.

Außerdem steht ata11.00: NCQ disabled due to excessive errors wegen der vielen Fehler.

Im dmesg Log kurz nach dem Boot - bevor die Fehler das Log überschreiben - steht welche HDD/SSD ata11 ist
dmesg| grep ata11

In Linux kann manuell TRIM oder NCQ über die Kernel CMDLine deaktiviert werden.

ähh okay dh es ist die Boot-SSD oder was? denn die Boot-SSD und die gezeigte HDD sind die einzigen, die per Default eingehängt werden. Sobald ich wieder in Windows bin liefere ich die Daten nach.

Wenn du den dmesg|grep ata11 Befehl auf der Kommandozeile kurz nach dem Anmelden eingibst, dann sollte da auch die Festplatte ausgegeben werden.

bei einer normalen Platte zB

[    3.135172] ata6.00: ATA-9: WDC WD40EZRX-00SPEB0, 80.00A80, max UDMA/133

Da erkannt man dann auch das Modell.
