Frage zu xorg.config

Hi!

In /ect/X11/ habe ich 8 xorg.conf-Dateien:

xorg.conf
xorg.conf.fglrx-0
xorg.conf.fglrx-1
xorg.conf.fglrx-2
xorg.conf.fglrx-post
xorg.conf.original-0
xorg.conf.install
xorg.conf.saxsave

Liest das System aus der xorg.conf und sind die anderen nur Backup-Dateien?

Wenn du das in einer Konsole ausführst, wird dir angezeigt welche Config benutzt wird. Bitte auf Groß- und Kleinschreibung achten.

Habe noch eine Frage:

Nach einer Installation von openSUSE 11.0 bleibt der Bildschirm schwarz (ich muss entweder mit "Strg Alt F2" die grafische Oberfläche verlassen oder den abgesicherten Modus starten), bis ich die ati-fglrx-Treiber installiere (graka: Radeon HD 3450).

Vor der ati-fglrx-Installation sieht die xorg.config so aus:

Ist mit den Einstellungen etwas nicht in Ordnung?

Hi

Die Radeon HD 3450 wird durch den radeonhd-Treiber unterstützt, es könnte aber sein, dass Desktopeffekte geladen werden. radeonhd ist der freie Treiber, welcher auf den Dokumentationen AMDs entsteht. Dieser ist allerdings noch nicht so weit, dass 2D und 3D perfekt funktionieren. Das wird noch lange dauern.
Du könntest auch mal "ati" als Treiber versuchen, oder "radeon" gab es glaube ich auch. Habe selber keine ATI-Karte und weiß es daher nicht genau.

Die xorg.config habe geändert: Driver: "ati" und ein zweites Mal Driver: "radeon" (zuvor den ati-fglrx-Treiber deinstalliert)
danach jeweils neugestartet, es hat sich aber nichts geändert.
Aber da ich den ati-fglrx-Treiber verwende, ist das für mich kein dringendes Problem.

Du musst das radeonhd gegen fglrx austauschen dann haste den Properitären ATI Treiber.
fglrxinfo mal eingeben danach (Xorg neustarten). Es gibt 2 Ati Tuts zu der Treiberinstalltion auf der Ati Treiberseite(Treiber auswählen da wo der Aktuelle Treiber zum Download angeboten wird)

Der Radeon HD ist noch nicht stabil genug und hat noch seine kinderkrankheiten. Da muss man noch ein halbes Jahr warten.
