Keyboard Help

Suddenly some of my keyboard keys started typing the wrong characters. Since I started typing here, they seem to be OK. So it must be confined to Microsoft WORD and Outlook. For instance, the z and the y are exchanged and the colon give me a special character and the left parenthesis key gives me the right parenthesis key. How do I restore these? I tried using the control panel, keyboard, reset default but that does not help. Any ideas? I'm using a Microsoft Natural 4000 keyboard on my Dell 8250 Dimension.

press [ALT] + [SHIFT] at the same time, with this combination you can switch the key layout form german to english and the other way...
