Hello everybody,
My name is Adam Brennan, and for the past 3 months I was under the belief that I was the community manager for a community under a game called New Dawn: 2015, under a company called Breached-EU.
In the past few days several facts have come to light that conflict with information that Yuri Tanaka (Our Former Lead Developer & Founder of Breached-EU) had said. As I am writing this I'm sitting in a TeamSpeak channel with the majority of our twitch friends/former partners, I've already informed them, that no such game exists to my knowledge.
Many things that he has said, have been disproved. For example;
Myself and JagerTotez "Kevin" (Our Former Lead voice actor) whom some of you may know from interviews; have had no evidence that Yuri has any licenses from CryTek, for the CryEngine.
Japan trip has had no confirmation from our "Sponsors" which Yuri Tanaka has said was Ubisoft.
Several maps and codes turned out to be stolen by him, in a charade to scam users, and the staff that were all voluntary.
There are many other things that have turned out to be fake, ultimately New Dawn: 2015 doesn't exist again, to mine or kevin's knowledge, all the snapshots and videos shown to us, were passed on by Yuri and have been proven not to be his work.
Refunds
Yuri has done a runner, and we are unable to contact him, at all. He did not make off with any money, what so ever.
Anybody that donated to the indiegogo page with Credit/Debit card, your money is completely protected and are 100% guaranteed your money back.
The paypal money, was spent on running costs of breached-eu and other server payments, website hosting, advertisements ect, so some on the money is now gone;
Anybody who donated with PayPal, I myself have to personally pay you back, this is because I have no product to give you that was promised, because Yuri has ran off without leaving anything behind.
As it stands, I'm going through the account and refunding everybody, top down. All the $100 Donations through paypal have been refunded, I'm currently working on refunding all $50 donations, then $35 donations, until I run out of money on the paypal account. When this happens I'm going to slowly be refunding people out of my own pocket, as I get the money.
I seriously hope you can all understand my disappointment in what has happened and how angry I am at myself for believing Yuri Tanaka about any of this.
I'm begging people to be patient in getting their money back, I'm trying my best in getting it back to you. (I'm also opening this forum thread up to anybody who wants to post, so they discuss their anger, disappointment and any other feelings you might have about the situation.
I also want to thank everybody that brought things to light, such as the screenshots being fake and the content of the game play video being false.
Twitch Streamers
Several Twitch Streamers that were former partners, and now friends of mine in bringing Yuri Tanaka to justice (legally) should have no blame given to them, I've already contacted twitch in an attempt to make them aware that these Twitch Streamers have done nothing wrong and ultimately were misled and lied to the same as I.
Please don't take any action against them, they are victims.
Legality
Legally speaking, I am the only one obligated or liable for the money taken in donations from IndieGoGo, I am seeking legal advice from my local police force in the United Kingdom, to see what can be done.
I am going to go after Yuri Tanaka to the full extent of my abilities, within the law.
Hopefully a fair justice system will work this time. I could very possibly face charges for fraud because of these events stated above but my greatest concern is getting people their money back and offering my greatest most sincere apology to anybody affected by this.
