News Windows 10 Version 1709: Hinweise auf den Termin für das Fall Creators Update

Tja, es gab mal eine Zeit -many, many moons ago-, da hat man sich auf Updates (fast) gefreut, da meist sinnvolle Verbesserungen oder interessante neue Features enthalten waren.

Bei Windows 10 graut es mir immer davor. Welche/wie viele Apps wird man dieses Mal wohl ungefragt untergejubelt bekommen? Welche Einstellungen werden ohne Benachrichtigung, Nachfrage oder sonstigen Hinweis zurückgesetzt? Wie viele neue Einstellungen kommen hinzu, die Microsoft standardmäßig (Spionage-)Rechte einräumen, die man ihnen lieber nicht gewähren würde?

Bisher hat mich jedes Update Minimum ein bis zwei Stunden Arbeit gekostet bis alles wieder halbwegs so war wie es soll. Das Deinstallieren der Apps+Store usw. per PowerShell, das Neuinstallieren der Grafikkartentreiber (setzt Win 10 beim Update irgendwie gerne immer zurück), diverses Troubleshooting und das Durchschauen aller Einstellungen kostet stets einiges an Zeit.

Ich finde es eine Frechheit wie MS das handhabt, aber -gut- wir blöden Schafe haben ja brav eingewilligt. Das Betriebssystem auf unseren PCs gehört nicht mehr uns, sondern Microsoft. Von daher können die da auch dazu installieren oder Einstellungen ändern wie sie Lust haben. Wir haben dem per Upgrade oder bei der Installation ja artig zugestimmt. Wenn die nur nicht das verdammte DirectX Monopol hätten... *seufz*

Entweder machst du was falsch oder ich.
Habe ebenfalls Win 10 Pro laufen und 1709 nach einer halben Woche installiert gehabt. Bisher habe ich noch keine Fehler feststellen können.

Ich denke du hast meinen Beitrag nicht sorgsam gelesen, ich entnehme deinen Worten dass du annimmst das ich Probleme habe/hatte, ich hatte nichts dergleichen, weswegen ich derartiges auch nicht haben will habe ich dies Option "Featureupdates zurückstellen" aktiviert, diese Option war ein primärer Grund warum ich die Pro Version erworben habe, denn auf einem Produktiven System sind Überraschungen unerwünscht.
Version 1709 wurde noch nicht einmal veröffentlicht, du hast sie jedoch schon installiert, damit gehst du genau gegenteilig vor wie ich, aber gut das es dich gibt sodass ich eine fehlerfreie Version bekomme

Ich hab noch nicht mal das Creators Update erhalten und schon bald gibts das nächste.
Aber ansonsten hatte ich bisher auch sehr wenig bis gar keine Probleme beim Windows Update. Nur das mit den "festinstallierten" Apps ist nervig, die sollte man direkt deinstallieren können und nicht via Powershell.

Ich benutze meinen Rechner falsch. Hatte bisher bei keiner Version ein Problem oder Bug gesehen. Aber mein Win10 startet auch nicht ständig neu
Alles was mich stört, ist das man die ganzen unnötigen Apps nicht einfach deinstallieren kann.

Kann dem nur zustimmen, hatte mich auch gerade gewundert, was ich so tolles mit meinem PC mache, dass der keine Bugs hat

Nö, ich bin kein Deutschlehrer und stelle dahingehend auch nicht den Anspruch auf Perfektion, solange der Inhalt verständlich ist habe ich alles richtig gemacht, der Rest ist dein persönliches Problem womit ich mich nicht belasten möchte.

Alles was mich stört, ist das man die ganzen unnötigen Apps nicht einfach deinstallieren kann.

Dann hast du dich mit dem Thema wohl nicht genug auseinander gesetzt
Hier ein Script von Microsoft selber, welches die gewünschten WindowsStoreApps ganz einfach deinstalliert:

Wer dem Script nicht traut, kann das ganze so wie ich auch in der WindowsPowerShell lösen:
-> für Deinstallation aller Apps: Get-AppxPackage -AllUsers | Remove-AppxPackage
-> für Deinstallation einzelner Apps: Get-AppxPackage *PAKETNAMEHIEREINFÜGEN* | Remove-AppxPackage
Für eine Auflistung aller WindowsStoreApps einfach nur Get-AppxPackage -AllUsers eingeben.

Also ich finde das einfach genug .

EDIT (@CB01 #30): Beim Windows-Script nein, in der PowerShell ja. Bei mir lässt sich keine App mehr starten. Allerdings muss man sich vorher überlegen, ob man nicht doch die ein oder andere App benutzt. Bin nun von Sticky Notes und Calculator hin zu anderen Alternativen - ich verzichte auf Windows Apps.
Nach der Deinstallation siehst du direkt im Startmenü ob es geklappt hat. Wenn die App verschwunden ist, oder sich beim Klick nicht starten lässt, verlief alles nach Plan .

Bleiben die dann auch dauerhaft deinstalliert? Oder bügelt MS irgendwann dann doch mal wieder über alles drüber?
Mir ist es schon passiert das nach einen Update Funktionen die ich deinstalliert habe(Cortona/Edge) einfach neu von MS installiert wurden und im Netz ist immer wieder zu lesen das sowas auch anderen Benutzer passiert. Obwohl mir mal jemand gesagt hat das MS das angeblich (seit 1607 ?) nicht mehr macht.

Das ist für mich auch ein Grund das ich WIN 10 nicht mehr nutze, diese Bevormundung ist zum Und ich habe keine Lust alle paar Monate wieder die Funktionen die ich nicht will zu deinstallieren.
Man stelle sich nur mal vor andere Hersteller würden auch sowas machen, zb. VW würde allen ihrer verkauften Autos eine rosa Folierung verpassen und nen Fuchsschwanz an die Antenne machen. Das Geschreie möchte ich hören.

Vor allem aber auch weil der Anteil der Nutzer die ihr System dermaßen verfummeln, im Promille Bereich liegen dürfte und die Apps Schritt für Schritt die "gewohnten" Tools im System ersetzen.

Es sollen aber zumindest die regulär entfernbaren Apps, in der Zukunft nicht mehr automatisch wieder installiert werden. Contana, Edge, Store oder Xbox App sind da aber definitiv außen vor und "gehören" zum System wie früher der Mediaplayer oder IE.

Wie viele sich an W10 abarbeiten, welches sie freiwillig und ohne jeden Zwang nutzen. Ja, ich weiß, spielen ist lebensnotwendig und mein 8000€ Programm, welche ich eh nur als Schwarzkopie nutze, läuft nur unter W10.

So ändert sich nie was für euch, da Hersteller nur auf Nutzerrückgang, aber nicht auf irgendwelches Gemaule in Foren hören.

Ich habe mich damit schon einmal beschäftigt. Aber das habe ich mit "einfach deinstallieren" gemeint.
Ein paar vorinstallierte Apps kann man einfach, direkt und dauerhaft deinstallieren. Aber MS fügt mit jedem Update mehr Kram hinzu, den ich einfach nicht brauche und nicht nach jedem Update wieder per Script entfernen will.

Im Moment sind das 20 Apps(!) Zum Beispiel die ganzen 3D-Tools aus dem letzten Update.

Da hast du Recht, allerdings kommt man bei einem Spieler-PC nicht um Windows herum.
Hilft nur, sich weitest gehend davor zu schützen. Möglichkeiten gibt es ja genug. Unter Win Enterprise werde ich nichts verwenden, so viel ist sicher (auch für Zuhause). Und O&O ShutUp10 ist sowieso Pflichtsoftware. Und schon ist bereits ein Großteil der Probleme obsolet.

Für Privatnutzer die sich damit auskennen finde ich das ganze aber nicht so schlimm wie ihr es darstellt.
Selbst wenn ich das Script nach jedem Update neu durchführen muss (ca. 10 Sekunden Arbeit), dann kostet das mich bei dem geringen Update-Intervall von MS vielleicht 20 Sekunden im Jahr
Zumal ich nicht feststellen konnte, dass MS neue Apps mit einem Update installiert, muss ich mal drauf achten.

Ständig neue halbfertige Frickelversionen, mit Verschlimmbesserungen die ähnlich brauchbar wie Fußpilz sind.
Für mich ist Win 10 der allerletzte Husten, seit Windows 95.
Nur allein diese jämmerliche Foto-App, die im Minutentakt neue "tolle Alben" anlegt und keinerlei vom User gemachte eigene Einstellung respektiert ...
