Habe das Thema mit der Schutzfolie im XFX-Forum besprochen und ein XFX-Techniker meinte folgendes :
" Hey all. This is an issue that has recently come to our attention, regarding the plastic film posing a problem with fan noise.
The film is supposed to be removed in the manufacture process of all XFX cards, as it is meant to protect the fanplate from scratches.
The warranty for this product states that any modification to the card (ie: applying third-party thermal paste), beyond the instruction of an XFX representative/tech support team member will render the Double Lifetime warranty void. I believe as long as you are very careful to only remove as much plastic film as necessary to eliminate the noise, this should have no negative consequences on the XFX warranty agreement.
This statement goes true for any other products having similar issues with fan noise and the protective film, mostly the 7800 PCIe series.
Hoping this answers a few questions.. back to work for me!"
