PC crashes during gaming

Hello guys,
Lately, I've had a lot of issues with my pc whenever I start playing games.
It leads to my PC crashing which never happens when smaller programs are open.
After a few minutes of gaming my screen freezes and a bluescreen appears.
The error message says CRITICAL_PROCESS_DIED.
Sometimes instead of immediately crashing just one program crashes and I'm unable to
open the task manager or open windows settings and after a few seconds the whole pc crashes.
I sadly do not know anything about what software/hardware is causing this error and wanted
to know if anyone knows what could be causing this problem.
I can also provide further information if needed.

Looks more like a software than hardware issue after a windows update respective corrupt files that were produced in the update process.
Are the hardware drivers up2date? Maybe that is an easy fix
In this case I would probably do a clean windows install or revert to an older patch installation if a restore point has been created.

It would be very helpful, if you could list your exact system specs and name your OS. I assume, that you are using Windows?
The problems did occur lately, so did make any changes to your system?

Ich denke der TE wäre in einem englischsprachigen Forum besser bedient,
es gibt ja jede Menge gute.
CB ist eben ein deutsches Forum und hat keinen Englischen Bereich.

Prinzipiell kann ich Englisch fast genau so gut schreiben wie Deutsch, und Lesen und Verstehen wie Deutsch.

Aber dies ist nunmal ein deutschsprachiges Forum.
