Princess Leia's powered shot can shoot through squad shields/personal sheilds
Rebel ships shield block EVERYTHING besides lock-ons/collision damage (as far as i can tell)
Boba's wrist rocket has a slight auto lock on
You can upgrade star cards for 7000 credits (This took me a while to realize)
you can camp like a coward on the walkways beneath the landing platform on endor by jumping up with a jet pack
Using the "focus fire" card on the jawa shotgun will make it shoot a slug-type shot with really high damage
In Fighter Squad go for PLAYERS not AI. Don't waste abilities on AI (Names will hover if player)
Sprinting makes you show up on radar
Another quick tip I saw in another thread is that the AI is always X-Wings and TIE Fighters. Any Interceptors or A-Wings are players.
You can actually shoot down and explode Y-wing bombers before they launch their missiles at the AT-ATs, lessening the amount of time the rebels get to damage it. Also gets you a sweet achievement EDIT: I should clarify sniper rifles can do this too (pulse cannon, cycler rifle)
Fighters only have a set amount of power. Your power is shared usage between shields, boosts, speed, and lasers. The faster you go, the weaker your damage will be, the weaker your shield will be, and the shorter your boost will be. Vice versa when going slow
At Walker Assault, there are these things called "uplinks." When playing as Rebels, the uplinks can be turned on by pressing and holding "E" while looking at them in close proximity. They are NOT automatically turned on by ignoring them and running past.
Turn off FXAA and or TAA since they both blur everything. Raise supersampling (internal resolution setting) as high as you can before you frame-rate suffers. This will make everything clearer. (Enemies in the distance)
Lastly turn post processing and effects on LOW. This will remove fog, haze, and make smoke easier to see through.
Air combat Tipps
I play a lot of fighter squadron and routinely get the most kills during the dogfights. Here are my air combat tips:
Best way to out-manuever the enemy is turn your speed all the way down. You can make tighter turns and can easily get behind enemy that is pursuing you
Turn your speed down if you want to grab power-up items near the ground or you'll probably crash
When pursuing an enemy, don't use the lock-on button unless you know you have a clear shot. Once they hear that they are locked-on to they will start to panic and make it harder for them to be shot down. If you have already been launching missiles at them and they are already panicking...keep pursuing the but don't lock on..they will think they lost you and cam down. Wait for your lasers and missles to recharge then surprise them
Don't ignore the defend / attack objectives portion. You can score a lot of kills while everyone is busy trying to shoot down or defend the objective.
Use the tie fighters speed boost to get high in the air vertically then loop back down and attack the enemy from above
If you are being attacked and having problems shaking the enemy even after throttling your speed down and trying to loop around them, try and fly toward groups of your bros, they will usually help you out since whoever is pursuing you is probably not watching their 6
The evasive maneuver when you press d-pad up on PS4 is probably the best one for both dodging missiles and losing someone pursuing you. (it's the one that has the spacecraft do a Immelmann Turn / u-turn with a twist)
Don't start doing evasive maneuvers if the enemy has a lock on you but is not actively shooting lasers. Wait for the missile then use it, otherwise it might be wasted
