hy leude,
folgende erlaeuterung hierzu:
What is Contention Ratio?
Broadband service providers can charge relatively low prices when compared to dedicated leased lines because the capacity is shared between many other users. "Contention ratio" describes the ratio of end-users to available capacity.
The standard contention ratio of 50:1 has been adopted for most residential services including Bulldog AllTime. This means that up to 49 other people could share the same capacity with your connection.
Business class services (including Bulldog BizTime services) are normally provided with a 20:1 or better contention ratio and accordingly cost more since the assurance of consistent performance is arguably more critical for business use than for home use.
Bulldog's superior @ctive services come with a contention ratio of, at worst, 20:1. although for many users this could be as low as an impressive 5:1
sowas schonmal bei deutschen ISPs gesehen ?
