Hallo allerseits,
würdet ihr meinen, dass dieses alte Laptop mit Windows 10 klar kommt? Aber es gibt eigentlich keine echte andere Wahl nach dem Windows 7 Support-Ende...
4 GB RAM und 220 GB HDD (aber zu Schade für die Tonne, diese Thinkpads sind einfach auch hübsch :-) )
Übrigens, Teile sollen nicht getauscht werden. Nur einschätzen, ob der mit Windows 10 schlechter laufen würde, als jetzt (mit Win7).

Laufen würde es, aber sehr langsam. Selbst wenn du ne SSD reinpackst würde er langsam laufen ... Lass Win7 drauf bis du dir einen neuen Leisten willst.
 
Warum soll da kein Windows 10 drauf laufen?

Hier ist ein alter Dell Inspiron 6400 mit einem C2D auch mit Windows 10 versehen und funktioniert damit tadellos und einwandfrei. Schon vorher hatte ich dem Gerät eine SSD verpasst gehabt und die hat dem alten Notebook zu einem 2. Frühling verholfen gehabt.

Win10 ist doch meiner Erfahrung nach performanter als Win7
Ich würde es auf jedenfall probieren Win10 aufzusetzen, vorher Win7 sichern und wenns nicht schmeckt dann einfach die Sicherung wieder einspielen
 
Mein altes Lenovo T61 rennt mit Win10 besser als seinerzeit mit Win7, und vor allem im Akkubetrieb auch länger.

Offiziell gibt es für das Gerät keine Windows 10-Treiber.
Die für Windows 8.1 können gehen, müssen aber nicht, wobei es da auch nur wenige gibt.
Das kann u. U. bedeuten, dass Funktionen wie Spezialtasten oder vielleicht sogar der Touchscreen nicht sauber funktionieren.

Ich bezweifle, dass solche SSDs etwas taugen. Wenn man sich davon auch Geschwindigkeit verspricht, sollte man vielleicht etwas höherwertige SSDs ins Auge fassen.
 
Ich rate vielen Kunden von einem Neukauf ab, wenn nur Basisbedürfnisse befriedigt werden sollen. Ein solcher C2D läuft mit SSD und Win 10 einwandfrei und immer noch deutlich flotter, als die Billig-Celerons, die aktuell in den Elektrosupermärkten für rund 250,00 Euro angeboten werden. Gerade für die Thinkpads werden von Win10 nahezu alle Treiber zur Verfügung gestellt oder es funktionieren die für Win 7.

Installiere SlimDrivers. Das Programm sucht die entsprechenden Treiber und kannst
diese nach Bedarf installieren.

aber wenn man auch den verwenden will:

4er ddr3 sodimms sollten sehr billig zu kriegen sein
wichtig: nicht 2er und 4er mischen, onboard graphik mag das nicht.
und ssd mindestens eine ~250er, kostet kaum mehr als eine 128er

es ist performanter als win7
aber trotzdem halt nur 2 kerne, ist halt alles ein wenig gemächlicher.
 
Leute im Ernst, ich würde den Laptop mit Win10 nutzen, ohne etwas auszutauschen.

Bitte keine "Driver" Software nutzen, das ist unnötig und führt nur zu Fehlern, ohne SSD ist das Ding tatsächlich bedeutend langsamer. Bis auf 2 Komponenten habe ich erst gestern ein altes Thinkpad aufgesetzt, da reichten die Win 7 Treiber völlig!
 
Ohne SSD läuft er ja jetzt auch, hauptsache es wird nicht schlechter mit win10... :-)
 
hab kürzlich einen Atom D510 mit W10 neu aufgesetzt - ich sag mal die Begeisterung hält sich in Grenzen (und der hat ne SSD + 8GB RAM bekommen) - allerdings auch von W7-32bit auf W10x64 gewechselt

du solltest daher auf jeden Fall ein Image sichern um im Zweifelsfall einfach zurück zu können

außerdem alle Komponenten noch einschalten
Ich hatte mal bei einem Laptop wo per Herstellersoftware das Wlan/BT ausgeschaltet war, hat sich das unter W10 dann nicht mehr aktivieren lassen, weil die Lenovo Software dort nicht mehr funktioniert hat und es offenbar mehr als nur soft-deaktiviert wurde

Wieso benötige ich ein Image, um zurück zu kommen? Ich könnte doch einfach Win7 neu installieren?

Mit nem erstellen image, also ner Sicherung deines Systems kommst du halt schnell auf dein jetziges win7 wieder zurück mit allen Einstellungen usw.
